La reazione dei veneti non è tardata e, a causa di una disattenzione generale, gli ospiti hanno conquistato il pareggio. La meta subita ha scosso i friulani dal torpore. E’ in questa fase che gli udinesi iniziano a fare proprio il gioco, riuscendo ad andare in meta più volte, evidenziando così un’ottima organizzazione di squadra. Il risultato finale di 79-10 è netto e, a fine partita, il tecnico Furlanich dichiara: “Siamo molto contenti perché abbiamo visto giocare i ragazzi dal primo all’ultimo minuto e anche nel secondo tempo la condizione atletica non è scesa e siamo venuti fuori mantenendo alto il ritmo di gioco. Sono soddisfatto dell’esordio molto positivo di Samuele in un ruolo abbastanza difficile. In difesa i due cali di attenzione ci sono costati altrettante mete e questo non deve accadere”. L’under 16 resterà ferma per tre giornate. Alla ripresa gli Udinesi saranno ospiti del Conegliano. Intanto è partito il conto alla rovescia per la trasferta in Inghilterra del 2 maggio.
