Anche nelle fasi di difesa si sono viste delle bellissime azioni, i bambini hanno dimostrato di avere padronanza del placcaggio e si comincia sempre con maggior determinazione a recuperare il pallone a terra.
UNDER 8. L’U8 può considerarsi più che soddisfatta del rugby giocato a Parma! I piccoli, fin dalla prima partita mattutina, dimostrano voglia di giocare e ottima collaborazione, passandosi il pallone e gestendo in modo esemplare lo spazio, classificandosi così secondi in entrambi i gironi! Nel pomeriggio, la prima delle due gare disputate si può considerare decisamente la migliore della giornata; si è vista aggressività in fase difensiva, sostegno e collaborazione di tutti, caratteristiche fondamentali in questo sport. Nell’ultima partita, purtroppo, complice anche la stanchezza, i piccoli della Junior non sono riusciti a mostrare il giusto entusiasmo e grinta. Nonostante questo gli allenatori, considerando che il 90% della squadra è al primo anno di rugby, sono più che soddisfatti sia per l’atteggiamento fuori dal campo sia per le prestazioni sportive all’interno del rettangolo di gioco.
UNDER 10. La squadra è maturata dal punto di vista agonistico e tattico, sviluppando un rugby sia aggressivo, sia di possesso di palla e di avanzamento, sfruttando al massimo le caratteristiche di ogni giocatore. L’U10 è arrivata seconda in entrambi i gironi della mattina, perdendo solamente con le formazioni più tattiche. Nella fase delle semifinali, Udine si è imposta nettamente con un buon gioco dettato dalla velocità di alcuni giocatori. Sicuramente, a parere degli allenatori, la squadra può dare ancora qualcosa in più, ma la prospettiva è decisamente positiva.
UNDER 12. Ennesima prestazione a due facce per l’U12: i ragazzi faticano ancora ad entrare nel ritmo partita. Quando lo fanno, però, dimostrano di sapere giocare un buon rugby, fatto soprattutto di aggressività sul punto di incontro. Passo in avanti anche sui passaggi e il gioco al largo, mentre è sempre perfetto lo schieramento. Rimane il rammarico per non riuscire a vedere i tuttineri esprimere dal primo minuto le proprie potenzialità. Gli allenatori sanno che devono lavorare sull’approccio mentale, ma le cose buone sono decisamente tante.
