Grande novità in casa del Rugby Club Pasian di Prato che ha deciso di dare avvio al Progetto prima squadra Seniores iscrivendosi al campionato nazionale di serie C2. Un passo doveroso verso i propri tesserati e tutto l’ambiente. Nel corso degli anni il Club ha consolidato le proprie fondamenta e il proprio settore giovanile aumentando il numero di tesserati e potenziando lo staff tecnico. Uno sbocco naturale per gli atleti dell’Under 18 che così avranno la possibilità di continuare il percorso con il proprio Club.
“Si tratta di un passo consapevole e necessario che conferma la maturità e la solidità della nostra società”, commenta Sergio De Nobili, presidente del Rugby Club Pasian di Prato. “Questa nuova importante iniziativa ha come fine costruire un futuro strutturato e, allo stesso tempo, ambizioso e competitivo. Attingeremo dal nostro settore giovanile, questo è certo, tuttavia sono molti i giocatori Seniores entusiasti di aderire al progetto che hanno contattato il Club non appena nell’ambiente se n’è iniziato a parlare”.
Il Rugby Club Pasian di Prato parteciperà al campionato interregionale di C2 che mette in palio la possibilità di fare il salto nella C1 nazionale. Nessuna ufficialità al momento sul nome del tecnico che guiderà la formazione: sono diversi i nomi con i quali il Club sta trattando. Alcuni, però, sono già noti e sono quelli dei sei giocatori che, dopo aver contribuito in maniera determinante come tecnici dello staff del Rugby Pasian di Prato, hanno deciso di mettere la loro esperienza ed entusiasmo a disposizione del Club entrando nella squadra come giocatori.
Si tratta di nomi noti sulla piazza udinese e non solo, giocatori che hanno disputato molte stagioni in Serie A con la Rugby Udine e sono: Luca Bombonati, Antonio Giannangeli, Simone Lentini, Nicola Lo Schiavo, Damian Montorfano e Daniele Taddio. “Vogliamo offrire un progetto sportivo, di crescita e competitivo”, continua De Nobili. “La presenza di giocatori di esperienza ci consentirà di far crescere i giovani e quanti vorranno aderire alla prima squadra, poi, come in tutti gli sport, sarà il campo a parlare ma da parte nostra c’è tanta voglia di affermarci per costruire qualcosa di duraturo e coinvolgente”.
